A secure vestibule is a controlled entryway that serves as the first line of defense for school safety. By requiring all visitors to pass through a locked, monitored space before gaining access to the main building, it significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized entry.
Enhanced Safety | Visitors can be screened and verified before they reach students or classrooms. |
Controlled Access | Only authorized individuals are allowed access to the school environment. |
Fast Emergency Response | Security systems in vestibules can trigger lockdowns instantly, buying valuable time in case of emergencies. |
Visible Deterrent | A secure vestibule sends a clear message that safety is a priority, deterring bad actors before they even try. |
Compliance with Best Practices | Many school safety standards and recommendations include secure vestibules as part of a layered security approach. |
Access control is a security system that manages who can enter or access certain areas of the school. Instead of traditional keys, it uses pre-authorized keycards or fobs, to unlock doors for authorized individuals. This helps ensure that only approved staff, students, or visitors can enter specific areas of the Campus.
Improved Safety | Helps prevent unauthorized entry to the school environment. |
Controlled Access | Limits who can enter specific areas of the school environment. |
Emergency Response | Enables fast lockdowns and/or door control in case of emergencies. |
Accountability | Tracks who entered where and when, supporting investigations if needed. |
Operational Efficiency | Reduces the need for physical keys and simplifies building access management. |
