DREAM – BELIEVE – ACHIEVE - TOGETHER
Welcome to the Banks High School website. This website is one of the ways we are able to communicate with the community. One of our goals in the high school is to offer our students a well-rounded education that will assist them in maximizing their academic potential. We encourage parents to visit the website to gain any information necessary to  support us in educating their child. This site is a needed tool to ensure we meet this desired goal.
For those students who are planning on attending college as their next step beyond high school, we offer a varied curriculum that prepares them for the rigorous demands of post secondary education. Not only do we offer courses in the areas of social studies, English, mathematics, and science, we also offer students an opportunity to earn college credit in a number of areas while they are still in high school. Please refer to the curriculum handbook web link for a more detailed explanation of all classes offered.
Outside of the classroom, we offer a variety of activities to students. It is a proven fact: the more activities students are involved in, the more successful they are in school. Our school offers twelve different sports. Co-curricular activities we offer include music, yearbook, FFA, NHS and leadership programs for our students. Through participation in these activities, our students make strong bonds with other students and are supported by mentors/adults who are focused on nurturing young minds each and every day. Co-curriculur activities provide depth, richness, and an opportunity to put into practice all the skills students have learned throughout their K-12 educational experience.
Our school has teachers who have commited their time, energy, and lives to helping students learn and be prepared for an ever changing world they will encounter. They are in this profession because they want to have a positive impact on young people, not only in their learning but also in their lives. All of them have webpages, as one of our goals is to open communication with students and parents alike. I encourage you to look at these to get more information about our teachers and the classes they teach.
Banks is an excellent community that supports its schools! I believe that our schools offer our students an outstanding education. If you cannot find what you are looking for on this website, please contact the high school office, 503-324-2281, and we will asssit you with getting the information you need and do our best to answer your questions.
Thanks for visiting our site!
