High School Water Update

Dear Banks School District Families,

We wanted to share a final update regarding the water concerns reported at Banks High School last week.

As soon as we became aware of the concern, we shut off drinking fountains and kitchen-use faucets as a precaution and began providing bottled water to students.

Water samples were then collected and tested by an authorized third-party laboratory. We are pleased to share that the results came back as non-detected or well below safety thresholds for both biological and metal contamination. The results have also been reviewed by our risk management team and are available below for anyone who would like to review them.

As one final precaution, we will flush the drinking fountains, kitchen faucets, as well as change filters, at Banks High School prior to them returning to service. Drinking fountains and faucets will be returned to normal use beginning Wednesday October 7th.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we took the time to thoroughly evaluate the concern. We appreciate the care our students, families, and staff show in bringing concerns forward and helping us keep our schools safe and healthy.

Please feel free to call the District Office with any questions or concerns.
