Welcome to Banks Elementary School
Banks Elementary School, built in 1998, serves approximately 500 students grades K-5. The school is a major source of pride for the city Banks. Parent/Guardian and community volunteers are seen daily assisting small groups of students, helping teachers and support staff. The school boasts a highly qualified, professional, student centered staff; dedicated to forming a safe educational community that embraces the whole child. Staff are committed to respecting one another, life long learning, innovation, and teamwork.

If you are picking your student up in the DRIVE UP LINE only, your child will now be a "wheels" child.
They will be waiting out front.
If you are getting out of your car or walking to the school to pick up your child, they are a "meet and greet" child and will be
out back on the playground.
Please discuss this and decide if your child will be a
"wheels" or a "meet and greet" child each day.
Also, kindergarten and 1st grade students will need to be signed-out with the adult on duty.
This change is a result of the extreme foot traffic in front of the school during dismissal time. We appreciate your help in making this transition to the new procedures
as smooth as possible.
No Physical Attendance at School
School Buildings Closed through the end of the
2019-2020 School Year

Packet distribution will be at the front entrance of the school. There will be cones set up to ensure social distancing is practiced. Parents, please leave children in vehicle after parking. You will be able to pick up both packets and food at the same time. Do not gather in groups. Thank you for your help with this. If you are in need of delivery for food and/or supplemental packets, please contact your child’s building principal. In this difficult time in our community and country, please help us by practicing appropriate social distancing as you arrive at our schools tomorrow and in the future.
